A new project starts...

We are currently setting up a film society in Huntly.
Inhabitants of Huntly and surrounding areas often have to travel miles to either Aberdeen or Elgin to watch a film at the cinema .This is what we are trying to remedy.
At the moment we are trying to find sponsors and funding to help us start the project. We are going to get help initially from Deveron Arts who will graciously lend us equipment to project films. We are very keen in involving the community (inc. local schools and shops) and hope to get their support. Our main aim is to provide an opportunity for local people to discover or rediscover films in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, right here in the heart of Huntly.
We are still at the planning stage at the moment and are hoping to screen our first film in April 2008, but if you are interested in our project please feel free to contact us at: huntlyfilm.community@yahoo.co.uk
Watch this space!
